Early Monday morning, Officers responded to the Pettis County Sheriff's Department in reference to an assault that occurred on Saturday. The victim stated she was assaulted by her boyfriend. The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspect has been identified but not contacted.


 

Sunday night, Sedalia Police observed a vehicle with a registration plate belonging to another vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle near East 14th Street and South Ingram Avenue. The vehicle failed to pull over. Officers activated sirens and the vehicle continued. The pursuit was terminated for public safety. The suspect was later identified and a request for charges of Resisting Arrest and Driving While Suspended have been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police observed a black Toyota SUV travelling at 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. While Officers were attempting to catch up to the vehicle, they observed it cross into the other southbound lane and back into the lane it was travelling in. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle at the Casey's parking lot, 3050 South Limit Avenue. When Officers made contact with the driver, the strong odor of intoxicants was coming from the driver's breath. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Isai Ramirez Tello, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw. Tello was then placed on a 24 hour hold. A request for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a subject check at the Econo Lodge hotel, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard after recognizing a wanted subject. After the warrant was confirmed, Quinton Noel Gano, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Gano's felony warrant for Failure to Appear is on original charges of Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond set at $7500 cash or surety.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane Sunday evening. The driver of the vehicle had three active warrants for her arrest. Jessica K. Salmons, 32, of Sedalia was arrested for two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Failing to Secure a Child Under the Age of Eight and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. A criminal summons warrant was on an original charge of Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. Salmons was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a cash only bond set at $480.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, the Fav Trip store, in reference to a subject check. Contact was made with the suspect and he was found to be highly intoxicated. Rickie W. Waggoner, 45, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold. Waggoner was issued a city summons for Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage. Later that night, Officers responded to the Fitter's Restaurant, 500 South Ohio, for a report of a subject check. An employee called the Police to report a male refusing to leave the bar. When Officers arrived, they discovered Waggoner with a bottle of vodka sitting on a bench down the block. Waggoner was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail for safekeeping. Waggoner was also given a citation for Open Container on a Sidewalk.


 

Sunday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of South Lamine Avenue and East 17th Street in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they made contact with two individuals standing in the roadway. One of the males was screaming while the other male was trying to calm him down. Officers spoke with a female who standing in the yard. She explained that the subject had gotten into a fight with another individual who had already left the area. She said the subject also broke out the back window of her friend's car. No one wanted to press charges, but they could not control the subject, who was clearly intoxicated. Juanito Rubio, 19, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed a 12 hour hold for safekeeping.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft Saturday night. Heather N Reyes stated that her clutch purse was stolen out of her unlocked parked vehicle in the 800 block of East 3rd Street. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Saturday evening, A report was taken in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to found property. Gianfranco Guevara Caporella stated that he found a wallet at Katy Park, 2200 South Grand Avenue, and turned it into the Police. The owner of the wallet was identified, contacted, and the wallet was returned to the owner.


 

Sedalia Police observed a silver Chrysler with no front license plate and a rear license plate that belonged to another vehicle Saturday morning. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near South Warren Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard. When Officers made contact with the driver, the odor of intoxicants was detected. Donald E. Cunningham, 31, of Smithton, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Cunningham was booked and released to a sober driver. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated Persistent Offender has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Friday night, Officers conducted a subject check near West 6th Street and South Missouri Avenue after recognizing a male subject that had an active arrest warrant. The subject fled inside of the residence and shortly later fled out the rear of the residence, where he was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. During a search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Brandon D. Rollet, 36, of Windsor, was arrested on charges of felony Failure to Appear on original charges of Stealing a Motor Vehicle/Watercraft/Aircraft, Delivery or Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, felony Resisting Arrest, and Receiving Stolen Property. The residence was further searched, where another wanted subject was hiding in the attic. Jessica Jean Henderson, 29, Homeless, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failing to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Tampering With a Motor Vehicle, and felony Resisting Arrest. Both Rollett and Henderson were arrested and both subjects were placed on 24 hour holds.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of North Ohio Avenue Sunday afternoon in regards to a theft in progress. A subject was stopped at the scene and during the course of the investigation the subject and another subject with them were found to be in possession of controlled substances. Skyler Cheyanne Zane, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Distribution or Delivery of Synthetic Narcotics, Possession of a Dangerous Drugs. Possession of Marijuana, and Stealing. Tanner Joel Leary, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana, and felony Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both Zane and Leary were taken to the Pettis County Jail, where they were booked and held for 24 hours pending charges.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Barrett for a report of property damage. Upon arrival, Officers met with Gavin Minddan Ray Galloway, who stated that sometime overnight someone damaged two of his vehicles. Galloway estimated the total damage to be worth around $3,000. Galloway stated that he believes he knows who damaged his vehicles.


 

Sunday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West 9th Street and South Harrison Avenue. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was arrested at the scene. Elmer Jewel Miley Jr., 37, of Sedalia, was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked on charges of Driving While Suspended and released with a court date pending.


 

Sunday morning, Officers met with a subject in the lobby of the Police Department who had found a cell phone in the parking lot of the Asia Buffet, 3406 West Broadway. The phone was collected and placed into evidence. The owner has not been identified.


 

Sunday morning, a subject found a ladies' clutch wallet in the area of West 16th and South Washington. The subject went to a local business and they contacted Police for him. After locating the owner of the wallet, it was returned to her. Jessica M. Lake stated that there was an insignificant amount of change missing, along with a Kohl's charge card. Lake stated she knew someone had been in her wallet, because items were moved around. Lake did not know the wallet was missing prior to getting a call from Police and didn't know where she may have lost it or where it had been stolen.


 

An Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft report Saturday afternoon. Maria Marcos DeQuetzecua stated she dropped her debit card while at TJ Maxx, 3105 West Broadway. A short time later, two separate charges were made at different locations.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1700 block of South Carr in reference to a subject in cardiac arrest Saturday afternoon. Aid was rendered at the scene, but the subject was unable to be resuscitated. The subject was declared dead at the scene and they were transported from the scene by McLaughlin Funeral Home after the family was contacted.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of South Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a disturbance. When Officers arrived, a male in the area matching the suspect's description was fleeing. Willie Ray Waddell, 53, of Otterville, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Charges of Assault in the 4th Degree, Property Damage in the 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest are pending with the prosecutor.


 

Saturday night, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired temporary tags near West Broadway Boulevard and State Fair Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had an active Failure to Appear warrant from the City of Warrensburg. The warrant was confirmed and the driver was arrested. Emmrey White, 20, of Knob Noster, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked on her warrant with a bond set at $150 cash or surety.


 

Officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident where the victim was following the suspect Saturday night. Officers located the suspect vehicle as it turned onto North Ohio Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and it eventually stopped. Upon contact with the driver during the course of the investigation, it was determined he was intoxicated. Arturo Garcia, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was over 0.08. Garcia was placed on a 24 hour hold. A request for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Resisting Arrest has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Saturday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 3rd Street and South Barrett Avenue for a found property report. The caller said she found a pair of jeans with a phone and marijuana. The jeans and phone were entered into evidence to be returned to the owner and the marijuana was seized.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to The Crossing strip mall, 2700 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft. During the investigation, a computer check was performed on one of the suspects. The check revealed they had an active warrant from Arkansas that was within extradition. Suzanne M. Lobner, 40, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Fugitive from Justice.


 

On the evening of March 26th, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East 10th Street in reference to a found property report. The complainant stated there was an abandoned bicycle left in her yard. The bike was transported to the Police Department, where it was placed into evidence.


 

An Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department Friday morning in reference to a found property report. A debit card was found in the parking lot of the Embassy at 322 West 7th Street. Several phone numbers and addresses were used in order to try and contact the owner of the card. No contact was made and the card was entered into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court in reference to a subject check. A computer check of the subject revealed he had an active warrant from Pettis County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dustin T. Harms, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was given a bond of $7500 cash or surety.
