Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the area of South Ohio Avenue and West 6th Street for a report of a subject walking around in traffic. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the suspect, who they knew to have a Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County. Sarita L. Leon, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Stealing. Leon was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center due to her intoxication level. Leon was left at Bothwell for medical care.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard Wednesday afternoon. Officers were to investigate a hit and run crash. Officers were told by Kathrin McCutchen a black in color 2018 Toyota Corolla was parked at the store that morning, facing west. When McCutchen returned to the vehicle about twenty minutes later, she saw there was damage to the rear end of the Toyota. The case is under investigation.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers received a call about a robbery that occurred in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard in 1975.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Clover Dell Park on West 32nd Street Wednesday evening for a report of a disturbance. When Officers arrived, a suspect was being restrained on the ground by another subject. Officers determined the subject was running around the lake, yelling at people that he was going to cause harm to them. At one point, the suspect attempted to assault the victim. However, the victim defended himself before restraining the suspect until Police arrived. Tyler Dene Wilbanks, 27, Homeless, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree and Making a Terroristic Threat in the 2nd Degree. Wilbanks was transported to a local hospital for a fit for confinement check, and then transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop for a defective license plate in the area of South Grand Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard. After a computer check, it was found the driver had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Johnson County on original charges of Parking Violations. Kelvin A. Storms, 24, of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held on a $150 cash only bond.
