Early Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 2300 block of East 10th Street in reference to a disturbance. The complainant stated that an intoxicated male subject was yelling in the middle of the street. The male subject was identified as Thomas B. Walje, 47, of Sedalia. Walje was issued a citation for Public Peace Disturbance with a court date and placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the First Choice Auto, 2934 Clinton Road, for a report of a theft Tuesday afternoon. Officers spoke with the owner of the business, who stated a catalytic converter was stolen off of a car during the earlier hours that morning.


 

Officers responded to the Missouri Bank II, 1601 South Limit Avenue Tuesday evening in reference to a general alarm. A male subject was identified, ran through Dispatch and confirmed to have an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Johnson County on original charges of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility with a $200 cash only bond. Joseph H. Hedglin, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on the Johnson County warrant.


 

Sedalia Police took a report over the phone in regards to a stolen vehicle Tuesday evening. Officers spoke with Paige Batson, who stated she had loaned her vehicle to friend on May 14th, with the agreement it would be returned the next day. The vehicle still has not been returned or recovered.


 

Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a burglary. The suspects left the area prior to Officer's arrival. Officers spoke with Daniel Ortiz and Juan Manuel Hernandez Martinez, who stated a subject had come to the residence and attempted to retrieve property they were having a dispute about. The suspect then kicked in the door to the residence and pulled a gun on the victim, holding him at gunpoint while searching for the property. At this time, no arrests have been made.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Tacos El Charro restaurant, 2121 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday night for a report of trespassing. Investigation revealed the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing injury. Nico Jax Lux, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested for Assault.


 

Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South State Fair Boulevard for a disturbance. Eva E. Ramirez reported property damage a known suspect caused to a television in the house, as well as her vehicle before fleeing the scene. Charges for Property Damage are being requested.


 

On the afternoon of May 18th, Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department from Nathaniel W. Hutchinson in regards to tampering with a motor vehicle and property damage. Hutchinson reported the damage took place between Friday May 14th and Saturday May 16th. The total damage to the vehicle was valued at $500.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Heck Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance that was no longer in progress. Officers made contact with the victim, who was able to come to the Police Station the next day and show Officers injuries she received from her husband. The victim stated that she also had an ex-parte against her husband. Charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Violation of a Court Order are being sought.


 

Officers responded to the emergency room at the Bothwell Regional Health Center Monday afternoon and made contact with a subject that reported an assault that occurred in the 200 block of Scott Joplin Court. The victim reported that an unknown subject entered the residence and assaulted her.


 

Monday morning, Officers made a traffic stop in the area of West 32nd Street and Buckingham Drive, near the Skyline School, for speeding  in a school zone. Officers made contact with the driver and ran her information through Dispatch. Dispatch stated that the driver had a suspended license. Jillian Kline Walker, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Kline was booked and released for Driving While Suspended.


 

Sedalia Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective brake light and speeding Monday afternoon in the 1200 block of East Boonville Street. Officers made contact with the driver, who stated that he had a revoked license. His information was run through Dispatch, who confirmed his revoked driver's status. Louis Henry Tuck II, 48, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Suspended. Tuck was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 16th and South Grand for speeding through the Horace Mann school zone. Officers made contact with the driver, who stated his license was revoked. Officers ran the information through Dispatch, who confirmed the revoked status. James Paul McKee, 32, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of East 16th Street for a report of illegal dumping Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with the owner of the business, who stated that someone has been using his trash cans to discard their personal trash from home. The victim was able to provide Police with security camera footage of the incident. The suspect was identified and later confessed. Lori Jo Glenn, 58, of Smithton, was issued a summons for Deposit of Solid Waste in Other Containers.


 

Monday evening, Officers checked a residence in the 1600 block of Heck Avenue for a subject with a Pettis County warrant. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the suspect and ran his information through Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the Violation of a Court Order warrant that had a bond of $1,500 cash or surety. Gregory Joe Hoskins, 62, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of East Jackson Street. Two subjects at the residence were found to have active warrants from Pettis County. Robert Lee Brandkamp Jr., 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for his misdemeanor Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Revoked, a felony Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Revoked and Resisting Arrest, and a Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Brandkamp's bond was totaled at $7,250 cash and $2,500 surety. Elizabeth Esqueda, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested on her Pettis County warrant for Driving While Intoxicated and Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway Without a Valid License. Esqueda's bond was set at $500 cash only. Both Brandkamp and Esqueda were transported to the Pettis County Jail, with court dates to be determined.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Casey's Store, 1909 West Main Street, for a forgery report Tuesday afternoon. Cierra Wright stated a customer came into the store asking if two bills he had were real. He was told they weren't, and left the area. Wright stated the customer didn't try to purchase anything with them and left prior to Officer's arrival at the store. The two bills were taken and placed into evidence. A general information report is being completed to document the incident.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Park Avenue Tuesday morning for a found property report. Johnny Chaffin stated he found a cell phone on his property and turned it over to Officers. The information for the phone was ran through Dispatch to see if it had been previously reported stolen, and it had not. The phone was in poor shape and taken to the Sedalia Police Department, where it was placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle that appeared to be speeding in the area of East Broadway Boulevard near South Merriam Avenue Tuesday morning. The vehicle's speed was confirmed with LIDAR and it was speeding. Officers stopped the vehicle. Investigation during the traffic stop revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana. Johnathon Daniel Skrzypczak, 24, of Sedalia, was issued a Sedalia Municipal Summons for Possession of Marijuana. Skrzypczak was released with a court date.


 

Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police observed a subject at the Casey's General Store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard, who Officers knew had a Pettis County warrant. Officers stopped and spoke to the subject, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch. Officers learned he had an active/confirmed warrant from Pettis County for Fraud with a $7,500 cash or surety bond. Rodney D. Ballew, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
