Sedalia Police Reports For May 19, 2022

Early Thursday morning, Officers observed a vehicle travelling at a speed of 58 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Duke Drive and North Limit Avenue and identified the driver. A computer check of the driver showed he was revoked through Missouri DOR. AK K. Fred, 35, of Marshall, was placed under arrest for Driving While Revoked. Fred was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold based on his prior convictions for the same offense.

Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue for a report of a violation of a court order Wednesday night. When Officers arrived, they made contact with Lori L. Hadley and a witness. Hadley stated that she had an ex parte against her son, who came to her residence that night, violating the court order. Charges are being sought against the suspect.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Wednesday night near the intersection of South New York Avenue and East 24th Street. During the investigation, the license plates on the suspect vehicle were found to not belong to the vehicle owner/driver of the vehicle, Dillon Paschang. The license plates were seized and placed into evidence holding to be returned to the Department of Revenue. No charges are being sought.

Wednesday night, Officers performed a traffic stop on a white GMC truck in the area of West 9th Street and South Moniteau Avenue. The driver was known to be revoked. The vehicle also had a driver's side tail light out, and expired registration. A computer check through Dispatch confirmed his status to be revoked. Ronald J. Blum, 57, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Blum was booked and released.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a subject with warrants for their arrest. Officers made contact with the subject, and it was confirmed through Dispatch the individual had an active Sedalia Municipal warrant for Probation Violation for Stealing and a Warrensburg Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing. Carlese L. Overton, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrants with a cash only bond totaling $350.00. Overton was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Officers took a report of stolen license plate from Meagan Dombrow Wednesday afternoon. The license plate was stolen from the lot of McCarthy Toyota, 3110 West Broadway Boulevard. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 700 block of West 7th Street in reference to a possible burglary. The caller, who was not named in the report, stated that when they woke up, they realized several things had been scattered around their residence. While on scene, Officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and other paraphernalia around the residence. The caller was later transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center. The contraband was seized for destruction, and no charges are being pursued at this time.
