On the evening of May 19th, Officers were dispatched to the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South State Fair Boulevard in reference to a hit and run crash. An eastbound mini van collided with a northbound car. The driver of the mini van left the scene. The car sustained minor damages and was able to be driven from the scene. The suspect was later identified. Domingo Caal, 25, of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance involving a knife in the 500 block of South Grand Avenue. Information was given stating a juvenile had pulled a knife on a family member. The juvenile was disarmed prior to Officers arrival. It was determined the juvenile had multiple mental health issues. PCAD responded to the scene and transported the juvenile to Bothwell for a mental health evaluation. No charges are being sought, but a report was completed for documentation.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Missouri State Fairgrounds, 2503 West 16th Street, for a report of property damage Monday morning. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Kristina L. Blakely. Blakely stated that sometime between Friday night and Monday morning, someone vandalized the Grandstand concession area. An estimated $3,000 worth of damage was caused. Photos were taken, and attached to the report. It was later discovered that several juveniles caused the damage. Two juveniles were identified, and their parents were notified. At the time of the report, the other juveniles had not been located. Juvenile referrals will be sent to the Juvenile Office for further investigations.


 

Officers were dispatched to the All Ways Cleaning Car Wash, 2618 East Broadway Boulevard Monday morning for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers met with the owner of the business, Charles G. Lowe. Lowe stated entry was forced into the mechanical room. $10,000 worth of damage was done to the building. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.
