Monday evening, Patty S. Gerke spoke with Officers in the lobby of the Police Department in regards to Identity Theft.


 

Officers responded to the area of East Main Street and North Lamine Avenue for a report of a subject check Tuesday night. When Officers arrived, they located a male inside of the Maple Leaf Park. The male was identified as Julian E. Marlin, 28, Homeless. It was discovered Marlin had an active warrant for his arrest from Henry County for felony Failure to Appear on original charges of felony Property Damage Motivated By Discrimination in the 2nd Degree and felony Knowingly Burning Or Exploding. Marlin was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was given a cash or surety bond of $10,000.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a harassment complaint that had occurred in the 900 block of Westwood Avenue. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Elizabeth Ann Bryant, who explained she was being harassed and threatened by an ex boyfriend who was upset over a car she bought. Later that night, Officers were dispatched to the residence for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered a male subject had been making threats and was attempting to get into the apartment. Olen Lee Stephens III, 25, of Independence, was arrested during the investigation and transported to the Pettis County Jail. At the jail, Stephens was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of Harassment in the 1st Degree, and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a report of a dog bite Tuesday evening that had occurred in the area of East 2nd Street and South Washington Avenue. Officers spoke with Elizabeth Craig, who stated she did not want to press charges against the dog owner.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Dollar Tree store, 3107 West Broadway Boulevard for a forgery report Monday evening. The business recovered a counterfeit $20 bill and turned it over to law enforcement. The bill was entered into evidence at the Sedalia Police Department.


 

Monday night, a male responded to the lobby of the Police Department to turn himself in for his warrants. The warrants were for Failure to Appear on original charges of Open Container and Stealing. David D. Constanzo, 26, of Independence, was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the afternoon of May 4th, Twilight Motors, 204 East 24th Street, reported a motor vehicle stolen from the lot sometime within the last week. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information. The vehicle was entered into a statewide database as stolen.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Amy J. Jackson contacted Officers in reference to a violation of an order of protection. Jackson stated her ex-husband was making contact with her in violation of a protection order. A report was taken.


 

Officers responded to the 600 block of Industrial Drive for a report of a suicidal subject Tuesday morning. The subject was found and confirmed he was trying to commit suicide. The subject was taken to the Bothwell Hospital for evaluation.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of South Limit for a report of theft Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with David Boone, who stated that sometime in the past hour he dropped his wallet in the parking lot. Boone said he wasn't able to find his wallet, and he think it was stolen. Boone said the wallet contained around $700 in cash along with his ID and bank cards.


 

On the afternoon of April 29th, Officers were dispatched to the Police Station Lobby for a vehicle theft report. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Kennetha Haulcy, who stated that her vehicle was stolen on April 26th by a known subject and it was involved in a motor vehicle accident. It was later determined that the issue was civil and not criminal.


 

Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 13th Street for a report of property damage. Upon arrival, Officers met with Bryan J. Lauer, who stated that earlier that morning, someone damaged his motorcycle. The motorcycle had damage to a tail light and gas tank that was estimated to be worth $400.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Thompson Avenue for a report of a subject who was there who had multiple warrants Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the suspect, ran his information through Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed he had a Pettis County Warrant for Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) and Driving While Revoked. Cory J. Draper, 31, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a cash or surety bond of $5,000.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the Blue Moon Glass House, 1401 South Limit Avenue. The driver, Erika Rae Tackett, 20, of Sedalia, was in possession of alcohol. The alcohol was confiscated and Tackett was issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Alcohol with a court date.


 

Officer spoke with the owner of American Auto Rental, 2101 South Limit Avenue, Tuesday afternoon in reference to failure to return property. The owner stated that the suspect rented a vehicle from his business on March 23rd. The vehicle was to be returned on March 29th. The two parties are not in agreement as to the terms of the contract, and the matter appears to be civil.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 1900 block of East 7th Street for a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with a male and female subject, who reported they had been in a physical altercation with each other. Officers were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor. The two subjects separated for the day and 12 hour log was completed.


 

Sedalia Police took a report over the phone of an assault and property damage involving a juvenile subject in the 600 block of East 10th Street Tuesday morning. Yvonne M. Miley reported their property was damaged and was valued at $50. A juvenile referral was completed for the suspect.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Valiant Pawn Shop, 707 East Broadway Boulevard, Tuesday morning in reference to drugs that were found in the business. A small pouch containing a while substance suspected to be methamphetamine was recovered and placed into evidence.
