Wednesday afternoon, Kylee R. Walje reported to the Sedalia Police Department that an unknown person stole a prescription medication from her purse while she was at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard.


 

Sedalia Police met with Dale Anson II Wednesday afternoon for a report of property damage. An unknown person damaged a bicycle in the 2600 block of East Broadway Boulevard.


 

Wednesday night, a complainant made a report with the Sedalia Police Department regarding alleged child abuse in the 700 block of East 10th Street.


 

Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Arlington Avenue Wednesday afternoon for a report of theft. On arrival, Officers spoke with Patricia Morgan. Morgan stated that prescription pills were stolen from her home. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue Wednesday afternoon for a report of trespassing. When officers arrived, they made contact with the reporting party. He stated that a former tenant at 1319 South Osage was evicted on April 15th and was not supposed to be back on the property. The tenant then came back on two separate occasions and was still sitting on the porch when officers arrived. Officers asked the complainant if they wanted to pursue charges, and the complainant agreed. Bryan L. Evans, 58, of Sedalia, was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on charges of Trespassing in the 2nd Degree. Evans was booked and released of his own recognizance.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the Golden Corral restaurant, 2004 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a subject check. Officers arrived on the scene and the caller stated her mother was having a mental health crisis. She stated the mother was off her medications and was refusing to leave the restaurant. While speaking with the caller's mother, it was determined that she was of sound mind and was not suffering from a mental health crisis. Instead, the mother made abuse allegations against the caller and said she abused her children. A report was done to document the allegations, and a report was made to the Child Abuse Hotline.
