Sedalia Police Reports For November 18, 2021

Early Thursday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car in the area of West 15th Street and South Osage Avenue for moving violations. The driver, Gloria Marcos Rubio, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested on a state charge of Driving Without a License. The occupant, Samantha Silva, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving Without a License. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail, where Silva was given a $60 cash-only bond and Rubio was booked and released.

A truck was stopped late Wednesday night in the area of West 9th Street and South Quincy Avenue for failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. Carl Lee Jacobus, 80, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender). Jacobus was taken to the Sedalia Police Department, then the Pettis County Jail, pending release to a sober person.

Sedalia Police conducted an investigative vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South State Fair Boulevard Wednesday night. Erica B. Corpe, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Sedalia Police Department for processing.

Wednesday night, Officers responded to the 800 block of Olsen Road in reference to a theft from a vehicle. Officers spoke to Candy Henderson, who stated that sometime between November 15th and November 17th, someone made entry into their unlocked vehicle and stole several items. There are no suspects at this time.

A car was stopped Wednesday night in the area of West 7th Street and South Osage Avenue as the driver's brake light was out. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated by drugs and in possession of marijuana. Tyral Zachary Sloan, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Sloan was transported to the hospital, and then to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked pending release to a sober person. Officers are also requesting a state charge of Possession of Marijuana.

On the afternoon of November 14th, Officers were dispatched to the Sutherlands store, 3803 South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft. Officers spoke with Skyler E. Henderson, who reported that a male had selected two gas generators from the store and left without paying.

Wednesday afternoon, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue. A computer check of the driver showed his license was suspended. Antonio J. Macon, 33, of Sedalia, was released with a court summons for Driving While Suspended.

On the morning of October 25th, Sedalia Police responded to the 900 block of Winchester Drive for a verbal domestic disturbance. On arrival, contact was made with both subjects involved. The male subject was intoxicated and became aggressive towards Officers. Mark W. Balch, 31, of Sedalia, was taken into custody and transported to the Bothwell Hospital for a fit for confinement check, and then to the Pettis County Jail. Balch was placed on 12-hour protective custody hold. At the time of the report, no charges are being sought.

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to a warrant check in the 1800 block of South Warren Avenue. Information was given that a female subject was inside who had an active Benton County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspect came down the stairs and began talking to the Officer. The suspect then ran back up the stairs into a bedroom, locking the door behind her. Officers had to force entry into the bedroom. As Officers made entry to the house, the suspect was trying to open a window on the second story to get onto the roof. The suspect was given verbal commands and taken into custody at Taser Point a short time later. The Benton County warrant was confirmed with no bond. Samantha K. Dobnikar, 30, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of Resisting Arrest.
