Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Park Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation showed that a father and son got into an argument and the son began an altercation with the father. No primary aggressor could be determined, and a 12 hour report was completed.


 

Wednesday night, Officers conducted an area check at the Smith Cotton High School, 2010 Tiger Pride Boulevard. When checking the area, an Officer located a small wallet in the parking lot of the school. The item contained a small amount of currency. It was collected and placed into evidence as found property.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue. The vehicle pulled into the Shell Jiffy Stop gas station, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard. A passenger in the vehicle had a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Speeding from Platte County with a $177.00 cash only bond. Sherelle D. Johnson, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Deseret Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance Wednesday night. Timothy G. Mull, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Mull was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold. Charges will be sent to the prosecutor for review.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Department lobby Wednesday evening in reference to a runaway juvenile who was in the lobby. The juvenile was returned to her parents. However, she arrived to the Police Department with her boyfriend, who she has a full order of protection against. Jesus Rubio Alejo, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for Violation of Full Order of Protection and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street, to speak with a subject about a theft. Cole T. Mescher said equipment was stolen from the construction company he worked for. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Mescher, who stated that sometime overnight someone stole a red Rol-A-Lift dolly valued at $2,500 from the parking lot. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of sexual abuse Wednesday afternoon. The incident of possible sexual abuse took place in the 700 block of East 10th Street.


 

Officers received information about a female juvenile who had run away from the 900 block of West 7th Street Wednesday afternoon. The location of the juvenile is unknown at this time. Information was collected and the juvenile was entered into MULES.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a missing juvenile. The juvenile went missing from the 700 block of West Cooper Street. A missing persons report was completed. The juvenile has not been located at this time.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Investigators with the Crime Resolution Unit responded to the 1500 block of East 7th Street to follow up on an active investigation related to possible drug activity at the home. Upon arrival, contact was made with a resident who allowed Officers to walk through the home. Investigators located a male subject hiding in a closet and a female subject hiding in an upstairs area. Both subjects were identified to Dispatch and were discovered to have active arrest warrants. Samuel Ryan Watson, 30, of Sedalia, had an active Benton County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Suspended and Driving While Intoxicated With a Person Under the Age of 17 in the Vehicle. Watson also had a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. The Benton County warrant provided a $2,000 cash or surety bond and the Pettis County warrant provided no bond. Chelsie Renee Comfort, 26, of Sedalia, had a Parole Violation warrant on original charges of felony Assault in the 2nd Degree with no bond. Both Watson and Comfort were transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Tuesday morning, an Officer was dispatched to a report in the lobby from Sabrina Wurster. Wurster said she wanted to document an incident related to potential bullying her child experienced. A general information report was completed to document the incident.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of harassment in the lobby of the Police Department last Friday morning. Tequila S. Tyson reported that she is receiving messages from a person that is known to them.


 

Officers responded to the 600 block of South Missouri Avenue for a disturbance last Friday afternoon. Upon arriving, it was determined that the suspect had assaulted the victim. Brian Edward Rayl, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Rayl was booked and released pending charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.
