Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Lowe's store, 3811 West Broadway Boulevard, for a reported theft incident. The suspect was identified and charged with felony Stealing. Yale Burney Barkbflet, 19, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Early Friday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to an assault call in the 500 block of West 7th Street. While on scene, it became apparent to the Officer that there had been a gun stolen. Officers completed the report of the assault and completed a report for the stolen gun.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1800 block of East 7th Street Thursday evening for a report of a physical domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with both parties, and after investigation was completed, a 12 hour log was made.


 

Officers responded to the area of East 10th Street and South Marvin Avenue in reference to found property Thursday night. Officers located a CD player. It was logged into evidence as found property.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle and a hit and run accident. Contact was made with a female subject, who reported that a male suspect had stolen a vehicle, almost drove it into her, and crashed into the side of a building before fleeing from the area. It was discovered that the same suspect had also struck a house in the 1800 block of South Beacon Avenue and fled from there. The suspect was discovered and taken into custody. Zachary D. Recoat, 29, Homeless, was arrested pending charges of Stealing a Motor Vehicle, felony Assault in the 2nd Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Careless Driving, Driving While Suspended, and Driving While Intoxicated. Recoat was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a theft report. The store wished to pursue charges and a report was taken.


 

Officers were dispatched to the USPS Office at 405 East 5th Street Thursday afternoon in reference to a property damage report. Trish D. Staten-Ballance reported that someone keyed her vehicle, causing approximately $1000 worth of damage to the paint.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Missouri State Fairgrounds, 2503 West 16th Street, for a report of a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with Terry Roberts, who stated that while he was away metal detecting, someone ran into his vehicle and left the scene.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a car near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Industrial Road Wednesday afternoon for a licensing violation. A computer check through Dispatch revealed that the driver had a warrant for his arrest. Don C. Soriano Palmerin Jr., 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Soriano Palermin was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on his $5,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Wednesday morning, an Officer saw a subject walking near South Grand Avenue and West 20th Street that had an active warrant. The Officer made contact with the suspect, confirmed the warrant through Dispatch, and arrested Justin D. Woolery, 35, Homeless. Woolery was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked on his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Peace Disturbance. Bond was set at $60 cash only.


 

Wednesday afternoon, an Officer responded to the parking lot of the Police Department for a report of a violation of an order of protection. Officers made contact with Kelsey Capelton, who said the respondent in the order of protection called her an obscenity. She wished to pursue charges. A state charge of Violation of a Full Order of Protection was submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's office.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Bryan Hodges Wednesday afternoon at the Sedalia Police Department. Hodges stated that someone attempted to use his information to open a bank account. The suspect is unknown at this time.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of West Main Street and Oak Grove Lane in reference to an assist agency for the Pettis County Sheriff's Office. During the course of a pursuit, the suspect vehicle struck another vehicle and threw evidence to the road side. The evidence was turned over to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.


 

An Officer initiated a traffic stop on a car near West Main Street and South Missouri Avenue Wednesday morning for expired registration. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had an active Pettis County warrant with a $250 cash only bond. Jessica S. Seeley, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested on her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Stealing. Seeley was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the area of Missouri Pressed Metals, 1200 East Boonville Road, in reference to a harassment report. John C. Holst Jr. stated a juvenile had threatened to kill him, which he took as a credible threat. A juvenile referral was sent to the Juvenile Office.
