On Sunday around 6;20 p.m., Sedalia Police took a property damage report in the 900 block of Westwood Avenue. The complainant said that juveniles had splattered paint over his vehicle. The juveniles were identified.


 

On Sunday at 3:35 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of Moniteau for a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, one man was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. 24-year-old Deandre Anthony Ledale Laney of Sedalia, now faces charges of 4th degree Domestic Assault, 2nd degree Property Damage, Tampering with a victim or witness, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.


 

On Sunday night, Sedalia Police took an assault report in the 1900 block of Ingram. An investigation revealed that an assault did occur, however the victim did not wish to pursue charges, so no arrests were made.


 

On Monday at 12:09 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to 120 E. 16th for a harassment report. A suspect was named and an investigation is under way.


 

On Sunday at 9:47 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of E. 10th for a medical emergency. Officer made contact with the subject and performed CPR. PCAD then arrived on scene and determined that the subject was deceased. The Pettis County Coroner was contacted, as well as Rea's Funeral Chapel. No signs of foul play were observed at the scene. The deceased was transported to Rea's.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police responded to the 1700 block of E. 7th for a report that a neighborhood dog had bitten a neighborhood cat. An investigation is under way.


 

On Sunday at 4:29 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Hibbett Sports, 3115 W. Broadway, for a theft report. The store manager said three females entered the store and then left with merchandise without paying for it. Johnson County Deputies were able to make a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and apprehend the suspects and recover the merchandise. Arrested was 18-year-old Nikiea M. Payne of Kansas City. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, and charged with shoplifting (felony stealing).


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle at 10th and Winchester. A computer check revealed that an occupant of the vehicle, 32-year-old Bleasy Marisol Rodriguez of Sedalia, was wanted on a Municipal FTA warrant. Rodriguez was taken to the Pettis County Jail and booked.


 

On Sunday at 1:56 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of South Ohio. The caller said her 14-year-old grandson damaged property and then assaulted her. A juvenile referral was sent to the Juvenile Office.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1100 block of E. 5th on a subject with a Pettis County warrant. A computer check revealed that 37-year-old Lesley M. Kimbrell of Sedalia was wanted on the warrant with a $500 cash or surety bond. Kimbrell was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of South Brown for an assault no longer in progress. Video of the assault was obtained at 808 E. Broadway and an investigation is ongoing.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 1700 block of E. 7th. The caller said that sometime between 2 and 3 a.m., someone stole her son's black Mongoose BMX bike, worth $200. The bike was left unsecured on the side of her house.


 

On Friday, a wallet was turned in to Sedalia Police. The wallet was found near Boonville and Emmet. The wallet contained several bank cards and ID cards, along with cash. An unsuccessful attempt to locate the owner was made. The wallet was then placed into found property.


 

On Saturday at 11:11 a.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 1000 block of State Fair Blvd. The caller said one of his license plates were stolen between 4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m., Saturday. The victim does wish to pursue charges.


 

On Saturday on 10:30 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1900 block of South Marvin for a physical domestic disturbance. The victim said the suspect head butted her multiple times. The suspect, 61-year-old Richard D. Ward of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of state charges for 3rd degree Domestic Assault.


 

On Friday at 10:21 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to El Tapatio, 3000 South Limit, for a theft report. The complainant said that three juveniles got into her vehicle. One juvenile was identified. Nothing was reported stolen, however.


 

On Saturday at 11:43 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 3rd and Ohio for a “suspicious situation.” Officers identified all parties involved and a computer check confirmed that one subject, 25-year-old Andril Surgay of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Surgay was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail next door.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at Broadway and Limit. A computer check revealed that the driver, 38-year-old Amy R. Naylor of Kansas City, was driving while suspended. Naylor was taken into custody and transported to the SPD, where she was issued a ticket for Driving While Suspended with a Nov. 22 court date.


 

On Saturday at 4:32 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of W. 6th. A computer check revealed that 24-year-old Jose Luis Herrera Aguilar, Jr., was wanted on two FTA warrants with a total bond amount of $13,500. Aguilar was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Saturday around noon, Officers recognized a subject on the SPD's parking lot who had warrants for his arrest. A computer check revealed that 38-year-old Deandrew L. Capleton of Sedalia was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. One had a recognizance bond and the other had a $1500 bond. Capleton was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Saturday at 1:52 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of North Grand for a trespassing in progress. The officer made contact with the caller, who said that the suspect had taken off running down an alley and that he was wanted on an active warrant. The officer pursued the suspect on foot for four blocks. The suspect then hid under a log from the officer, until the officer gave him commands to come out. Dispatch confirmed that the suspect, 44-year-old Travis L. Edgar of Sedalia, was wanted on an active felony no-bond probation and parole warrant. Edgar was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. A state charge of resisting arrest was later submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.


 

On Saturday morning, Sedalia Police performed a vehicle check on a parked car at Hubbard Park, 601 N. Missouri. The officer made contact with the driver and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer then searched the car and located marijuana. The marijuana was seized for destruction, and no charges were pursued.


 

On Saturday morning, Sedalia Police took a property damage report in at 209 South Ohio. The complainant said that an unknown suspect threw pieces of roofing from area buildings onto South Ohio. There were no suspects at the time of the report.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police took a theft report from a woman who said that several documents were taken from her. There were no suspects at the time of the report.


 

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Limit for expired registration. A computer check revealed that the driver, 63-year-old Leonard James Williams of Sedalia, was wanted on an FTA warrant on an original charge of failure to register a motor vehicle. The warrant was confirmed and Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a $100 cash-only bond.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of E. 27th on a wanted suspect. 27-year-old Logan A. Lewis was located and his warrants were confirmed. One warrant was for a no-bond probation violation out of Morgan County. The other warrant was out of Cooper County and was also for a probation violation. Bond on that warrant was $2,000 cash or $2500 cash or surety. Lewis was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on the warrants.


 

On Friday at 11:53 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near Grand and Wilkerson. The driver provided police false information, but his true identity was confirmed. A computer check revealed that 46-year-old Christopher D. Auxier of Sedalia was wanted on a Boone County warrant for larceny. Auxier was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for ID theft, and released on his own recognizance for the warrant.


 

On Saturday at 6:21 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Fav Trip, 216 W. Broadway, for a report of a suspicious person. Police made contact with the person and a computer check revealed that 51-year-old Gerald D. Anderson of Sedalia was wanted on a no-bond probation violation warrant. Anderson was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on the warrant.


 

On Saturday at 7:16 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of W. 4th for an assault report. Contact was made with the victim, who had a minor injury from the assault, and the victim wished to pursue charges. The suspect, 75-year-old Nikolay Paramonovich Zhelezoglo, was later located at his home on Olsen Road and arrested on charges of 3rd degree Assault. He was also wanted on a Pettis County FTA warrant with a $1500 bond. Zhelezoglo was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Saturday at 11:52 a.m., a subject came to the SPD and dropped off a small purse he found in the Taco Bell parking lot. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful, and the purse was placed into found property.


 

On Friday at 8:29 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Sierra Bullets, 1400 Henry, for a violation of protection order. The officer made contact with the victim, who wished to have events documented, but did not wish to pursue charges.


 

On Friday night, Sedalia Police responded to the Missouri State Fairgrounds, 2503 W. 16th, for a disturbance. The complainant said a white male was causing a ruckus and trying to fight people. Police made contact with 40-year-old Michael Vincent Frain, III, and a computer check revealed he was wanted on two FTA warrants. Frain was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Friday night, Sedalia Police took a report of a runaway juvenile in the 1600 block of South Brown. At the time of the report, the juvenile had not been located and was entered as a missing person.


 

On Friday at 12:43 p.m., a woman came to the SPD to report an assault that occurred on Thursday. According to the report, the victim had bruises on her nose and also had a swollen right wrist. The victim stated she knew the suspect. A statement was given and a report was made.


 

On Friday at 8:55 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Stewart. A computer check of the driver, 42-year-old Robert W. Perez of Sedalia, revealed his license was suspended or revoked out of California. Perez was issued a court summons and released with a court date.


 

On Thursday at 3:30 a.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report in the lobby. The victim said that his mother took his cell phone from his room when she left the residence on State Fair Boulevard. The victim does not wish to pursue charges.


 

On Friday at 7:31 a.m., Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run accident report in the 1600 block of W. 9th. The victim said the U-Haul van he rented was struck while it was parked in front of his residence. The van had damage to the rear driver's side. A suspect was not identified.
