Early Saturday morning, a traffic stop was conducted on a car in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and Mitchell Road for speeding. The vehicle had also been observed failing to maintain its lane twice. It was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. Ke'shonna I. Ross, 24, of Otterville, was taken to a hospital and then transported to the Pettis County Jail. Ross was booked and then released on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).


 

Sunday morning, Officers responded to the Casey's store, 716 West 16th Street, in reference to a report of a wanted person. Officers made contact with Nichole Sharee Bierschbach, 40, Homeless. Bierschbach had a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Sedalia Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing. Bierschbach was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond totaling $15,400.00.


 

Saturday night, Officers took a report in the Police Department lobby of burglary. Officers spoke with Paden Lefevers, who reported his residence in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue had been broken into while he was at work. An assortment of items were stolen from the residence. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the CVS Pharmacy, 100 East Broadway Boulevard Saturday night for a disturbance that stemmed from a traffic crash. After an investigation, it was discovered that one of the drivers was intoxicated by drugs (presumed cannabis). Trevor Thomas Rialti, 26, of Sedalia, was taken to a hospital and then to the Pettis County Jail. Rialti was held pending release to a sober person on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).


 

An SUV was stopped in the area of South Marshall Avenue and East 10th Sunday morning for several moving violations. The SUV also gave indicators of impaired driving. The driver was found to be intoxicated. Kirk Alexander Riley, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Riley was processed at the Police Department and released to a sober person.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department to speak with a subject who wanted to report a theft. Officers made contact with Kristina M. Walker. Walker stated that some time earlier that day, someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the area of the 100 block of West 4th Street. Her purse was stolen, which contained about $360 in miscellaneous items. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West 4th Street Sunday morning for a report of a stolen license plate. Officers made contact with Barbara L. Williams, who stated sometime over the last three days, someone stole a license plate and plate holder from the vehicle. The estimated total of the items taken was $107.00. There are no suspects at this time. A copy of the report was sent to Dispatch to be entered.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers took a report of a stolen bow from Braydn Hood. Hood stated the bow was stolen out of the bed of a pickup truck that was parked at the Casey's store, 3050 South Limit Avenue. The value of the bow was estimated at approximately $1400. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard to investigate a hit and run accident Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Tylor Sayers. Sayers stated that while they were in the center turn lane of Broadway Boulevard, the suspect vehicle struck his vehicle before fleeing the scene. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to a theft report. Photos were received from the business for possible identification of a suspect. The case is under review.


 

Friday night, a car was stopped in the area of East 3rd Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. The car was failing to maintain its lane, had turned right at a red light with a no right on red sign, and failed to stop prior to a stop line at a stop sign. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Samantha L. Kinner, 37, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest, taken to a hospital, and then taken to the Pettis County Jail on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).


 

On the afternoon of October 11th, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department for a call regarding fraudulent use of a credit card. Upon contact with Cendy L. Harrell-Carson, Officers gathered information on the incident and generated a report.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers took a report of found property in the lobby of the Police Department. A cell phone was located at ACR Heating and Cooling, 1609 South Missouri Avenue, and turned in to Officers. The phone was placed into evidence as found property.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to the Cromwell Court Apartments, 300 East 2nd Street, for a report of domestic disturbance. The subjects involved both indicated that there had been physical violence between them. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined. The subjects were separated, and a 12 hour log was started to document the incident.

Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police met with Juvenile Officers and Children's Division authorities who wanted to take emergency custody of three children from a residence in the 1100 block of West 16th Street. The mother of the children refused to cooperate with the custody arrangement, so Officers applied for and obtained a search warrant to enter the residence and secure the children. Patrisha K. Sanchez, 40, was arrested for three counts of Abuse or Neglect of a Child and one count of Interference With a Legal Process. Sanchez was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold. The children were taken into custody with the Juvenile Office and Children's Division.


 

On the evening of October 11th, Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Prospect Avenue to a call regarding Child Abuse. Officers arrived on the scene and located the caller, who was a juvenile. Upon further investigation, the juvenile was transported to the hospital for treatment of mental health. While at the hospital, it was revealed the juvenile had several bruises. A report was generated for the incident.


 

Sedalia Police recovered two bicycles Friday afternoon in the 3000 block of James Road. The bicycles did not match any records for previously reported stolen bicycles. The bicycles have been entered into found property.


Officers were dispatched to WK Chevrolet, 211 Thompson Road on the afternoon of October 14th. Upon arrival, Officers observed multiple vehicles with missing catalytic converters. Officers took pictures and gathered information to generate a report.


Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East 32nd Street last Tuesday afternoon for a report regarding property damage. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Kristen K. Herren. Officers then gathered digital photos of the damage, and generated a report.


Friday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a subject with an active warrant for their arrest out of Johnson County. The subject was identified, and the warrant was confirmed with Dispatch. Christina Rene Leimkuehler, 63, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Leimkuehler was held pending a $5,000 cash only bond.
