Sedalia Police Reports For October 19, 2021

Sunday evening, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft in progress. Officers made contact with two suspects, who attempted to steal items from the store. Brandon E. Johnson, 38, of Springfield was arrested on charges of Stealing, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Burglary in the 1st Degree. Tina M. Blunkall, 43, of Springfield, was arrested on charges of Stealing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Resisting Arrest, and Burglary in the 1st Degree. Both Johnson and Blunkall were transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were placed on 24 hour holds.

Monday night, Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of East 13th Street in reference to a theft. Becky Johnson stated she was scammed out of $670 with various gift cards via messages.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Stewart Avenue for a disturbance Monday night. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with an individual who was later transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for medical care.

Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of South Stewart Avenue for a report of theft. Shelby Bain reported that sometime during the night, their vehicle had been gone through and items were stolen.

Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Stewart Avenue to take a missing persons report Monday evening. About an hour later, the individual was located and safe.

On the afternoon of October 14th, Officers responded to the 1000 block of State Fair Boulevard for a disturbance. One of the Officers responding saw the suspect vehicle leaving the scene. Officers made contact with the vehicle and the occupants. A check through Dispatch showed the driver's license status was revoked. Nadelene Meseky, 24, Homeless, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in reference to an injured animal. An employee of the shelter said a wild racoon had possible internal injuries and distemper. An Officer responded to the 100 block of West Cooper Street and euthanized the racoon.
