Sedalia Police Reports for October 20, 2021

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the area of West 6th Street and South Osage Avenue in reference to found property. Officers located a license plate in the roadway. The registered owner of the license plate has not been contacted at this time.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East 2nd Street Tuesday afternoon to an assist agency report. The Pettis County Children's Division requested that law enforcement accompany them for a field call.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Thompson Road to the Probation and Parole Office for a report of a subject with a warrant Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Irvin J. Rill, 64, of Sedalia. Officers ran Rill's information through Dispatch, who confirmed Rill had a probation violation warrant that did not carry a bond. Rill was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On the afternoon of October 11th, Officers conducted a vehicle check in the parking lot of Dollar General, 4215 East Broadway Boulevard, as Officers recognized the driver as a wanted person. After contact was made, the warrants were confirmed and the driver was arrested. Kyle Wayne Wissman, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested on two counts of Probation Violation for original charges of felony Non-Support in Excess of 12 months. Bond was set at $2,000 cash only.

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of West 14th street for a report of found property. Upon arrival, Officers located the items described and found a bag of vitamins. The items were collected and placed into found property.

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Engineer Avenue Monday morning on a vehicle with expired license plates. The female driver, Cheila Brianne Washburn, 22, of Sedalia, was discovered to not have a valid driver's license. Washburn was issued a citation for Operator's License Required and released on scene.

Officers spoke with Kortney Tucker on the phone in reference to a property damage report Tuesday afternoon. Tucker stated that earlier in the afternoon when she was at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, the windshield of her vehicle was damaged. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.
