Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police spoke with Zachary Paxton over the phone in reference to a theft. A 12 foot tall inflatable ghost decoration had been taken from the residence in the 300 block of West 5th Street. It was determined the item had been taken on Sunday. There was video surveillance at the residence.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Corry Brennan Monday morning at the Police Headquarters in regards to a theft. Brennan stated that on November 26, 2020, a firearm was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 1300 block of East 24th Street.


 

On the afternoon of October 20th, Sedalia Police took a report of a hit and run accident from Donal Buckner. Buckner stated that someone struck his vehicle in the 1000 block of South Limit Avenue and departed the scene without providing information.


 

Officers responded to the 2800 block of Keith Allen Drive late Monday night for a report of a theft. Cheryl Wilson reported that on several occasions someone has stolen her mail and the mail of her neighbors over the course of several days. The ongoing incident is under investigation.


 

Monday night, an Officer was dispatched to the Sedalia Police Department for a report of a disturbance. The caller reported a physical altercation between her and her juvenile daughter. The juvenile was transported by PCAD to BRHC for suicidal ideations at the request of the parent.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers were called to the 700 block of West 6th Street in reference to a missing juvenile. Before the investigation could be completed, the juvenile returned home safe. The juvenile went to a friend's house after school to study and did not tell anyone where he was going.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of East Broadway Monday evening for a disturbance. A mother and daughter were arguing, and it potentially turned physical. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined, so a 12 hour log was completed.


 

Officers responded to the Centennial Park pool, 1500 East 16th Street, for a report of a burglary Monday evening. Management reported that someone entered the pool area earlier that day and broke the hasp on the storage room door. The hasp was valued at $15. Nothing was reported missing from the storage room.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Woods store, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a male subject who was looking into cars and begging customers for money. Employees stated they believed the suspect had previously been trespassed. Officers made contact with the suspect in front of 713 East Broadway Boulevard. Mario A. Madrid, 39, Homeless, has an active trespass warning issued for all Sedalia Woods stores. Madrid was taken into custody for Trespassing in the 1st Degree and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers responded to the area of the Auto Zone store, 2601 West Broadway Boulevard Monday afternoon, for a physical disturbance in progress. On arrival to the area, Officers observed a suspect vehicle leaving the area. A traffic stop was conducted at the O'Reilly's store, 2414 West Broadway Boulevard. A computer check of the driver confirmed him to be revoked. The driver would not give any information about the disturbance, and the other parties were not located. Brenden M. Price, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Price was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of state charges.


 

Monday morning, Sedalia Police responded to Bothwell Eldenburg Family Practice, 700 South Limit Avenue, for a fraud report. Stacy Davis and Steven Eldenburg stated they were notified of two occasions of someone trying to use a fake prescription to obtain medications using Dr. Eldenburg's credentials. The incidents occurred outside of Sedalia. At the time of the report, the suspect is unknown.


 

On the evening of October 21st, Officers took a report from Jessica Leigh Sullins of a package stolen from a porch near the 500 block of East 25th Street. The theft occurred at some point on October 16th. The total value of the package was estimated at approximately $59. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 900 block of Winchester Drive for a verbal domestic disturbance. On arrival, contact was made with both subjects involved. The male subject was intoxicated and became aggressive towards Officers. He was taken into custody and transported to the Bothwell Hospital for a fit for confinement check. He was then taken to the Pettis County Jail. The unnamed suspect was placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold. At the time of the report, no charges are being sought.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of vandalism from Lisa Ray Anderson in the 600 block of East Broadway Boulevard on the afternoon of October 21st. It was determined that someone broke a large window.
