Sedalia Police Reports for October 29, 2021

Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of South Ohio. A female struck her boyfriend in the face, causing injury. Misty D. Rahe, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on a 24 hour hold while charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are requested.

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on an SUV where the registered owner was listed as a revoked driver Thursday afternoon. The driver was the registered owner and a check through Dispatch confirmed his license status was revoked. Charles E. Pollitt, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Pollitt was released with a city ticket for Driving While Revoked.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Taco Bell restaurant, 820 South Limit, early Thursday morning. The caller, who was in the drive thru, stated that there was a drunk person in a black Tahoe who was arguing with an employee. The caller said the vehicle left, going south on Limit Avenue. Officers located the vehicle parked at the Casey's store on 16th and Grand and made contact with the driver. Edgar E. Ramirez, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Sedalia Police Department for processing.

On the evening of October 22nd, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department for reported theft incident. Walker Knox reported a cell phone was taken from the Sedalia License Office, 3135 West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect is unknown at this time.

Thursday afternoon, Vada A. Denny came to the Police Department to report an assault and property damage that occurred at or near Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri. Denny stated she was giving her husband a ride when he began getting mad. Her husband began choking her and trying to get her in the backseat. The suspect got out and began hitting and kicking the car, causing damage by denting the vehicle. The suspect has not been located, but charges are being sought.

Officers took a report of a missing person from Vicky Reynolds Thursday afternoon. The person has been missing from the 2100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The person has been entered into MULES/NCIC as missing and an investigation into her whereabouts is ongoing.

Thursday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of East 7th Street in reference to an assist agency for the Pettis County Children's Division. The Officer and Children's Division Worker were satisfied with the investigation and it was documented for informational purposes.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Rainbow Drive for a barking dog Thursday morning. The Officer heard the violation and issued Michael Eugene Barnett, 44, of Sedalia, a city ticket for Dog Barking with a court date.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Hibbett Sports store, 3115 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday afternoon. Prior to Officer's arrival, two suspects had entered the store and took an unknown amount of merchandise. Some suspect information has been developed.

Thursday afternoon, Officers spoke with Stacey Smith in the lobby of the Police Department regarding a theft. Smith stated that a bottle of her prescription medication was stolen from her residence in the 2200 block of West 5th Street. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been identified.

Thursday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the Sedalia Public Works Department, 901 East 3rd Street, in reference to a property damage report. The caller stated that sometime between October 22nd and October 25th, someone spray painted over signs in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue that belong to the City of Sedalia. Charges are being sent to the state prosecutor.

On the afternoon of October 24th, Officers were dispatched to the Quest Diagnostics, 1701 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a property damage report. The employee said over the weekend, someone had spray painted several things on the building. State charges are being sent to the prosecutor.
