Early Tuesday morning, Officers were conducting business checks in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue. During the business checks, Officers located two vehicles parked in the Kohl's parking lot after hours. Upon contact with the driver of one of the vehicles, the driver's information came back as a revoked driving status. Jared J. Cooper, 22, of Columbia, was issued a summons for Driving While Revoked and released on scene.


 

Officers responded to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft Monday morning. The cashier stated a male subject entered the store and walked out with some items without paying for them. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Heck Avenue Monday morning for a report of wanted person. During the on scene investigation, Officers were able to identify the suspect, who fled the scene while speaking with Officers. The suspect was located and arrested and then transported to the Pettis County Jail. Austin Matthew Tinker, 21, is being charged with Resisting Arrest, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the 3rd Degree, and a previous Domestic Assault charge. Tinker was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Early Monday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of East 12th Street and South Porter Avenue because the vehicle's tail light was out. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have a full US Extradition capias felony warrant for their arrest out of Jackson County for Violation Of A Court Order. Cayla E. Valladares, 18, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrant with no bond.

Saturday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that they observed failing to maintain its lane, which was also not displaying registration plates. The vehicle was stopped in the area of West Main Street and West Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Dustin M. Pritchard Jr., 24, of Troy Kansas, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Pritchard provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Pritchard was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Driving While Intoxicated and released to a sober driver.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle failing to maintain tis lane in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Missouri Avenue Sunday morning. A traffic stop was conducted, and during the course of the investigation it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the SPD, where she refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was conducted. Deborah Sprick, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Sunday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department, the Sedalia Fire Department, and the Pettis County Ambulance District were dispatched to the Deerbrook Villas in the 900 block of Mitchell Road in reference to a medical call. The resident was found to be deceased. There was no evidence of foul play.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street, in reference to a subject refusing to leave after being discharged Sunday afternoon. Cheryl Ann M. Kalkman, 61, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Saturday morning, Officers observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway on North Ohio Avenue and East Pacific Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was breathing, but appeared to be sleeping. The car was unlocked, and contact was made with the driver. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Isidro Chavez Marcos, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Marcos provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Marcos was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released. A request for the charge of DWI Prior Offender has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

On the night of September 12th, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West 3rd Street for a reported harassment incident. The domestic incident was found to have occurred. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12 hour domestic incident report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the intersection of West 16th Street and South Kentucky Avenue for a reported hit and run accident on the morning of September 2nd. Officers were able to find the suspect vehicle and the driver was arrested. Candice Ann Smith, 50, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
