Wednesday evening, Officers met with Jerry Mullins in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft. Mullins explained that someone had entered his place of employment, Superior Auto Services, 620 West Main Street. Mullins stated that someone stole an automotive scanner that belonged to him. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with a complainant on the phone in reference to a scam Wednesday afternoon. The complainant stated that someone attempted to scam her mother, who lives in 1900 block of South Sneed in Sedalia, on several different occasions. The complainant was able to intervene in the scam before there were any financial losses.


 

On the evening of September 10th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to theft. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Jonathan Flores. Flores stated that he had a license plate stolen off of his vehicle, and was now receiving citations from the City of Chicago. Flores did not know who had stolen his plate. No arrests have been made at this time.

Wednesday night, Officers responded to the 800 block of East 14th Street in reference to a trespassing report. Officers made contact with the subject, who was highly intoxicated. Edwin Goss, 47, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 12 hour protective custody hold.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 900 block of West 20th Street in reference to a theft report Wednesday morning. Dena Andrews stated that two firearms were stolen out of their house.


 

Officers responded to InMotion Towing, 4207 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a stolen vehicle Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with management, who advised a 2007 Buell motorcycle had been stolen from their lot on September 2nd. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

On the afternoon of September 10th, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 12th Street for a report of a theft. Contact was made with Bill J. Griffith Sr., who reported a radio tower was stolen from his back yard sometime in the last two weeks by an unknown suspect.
