On Wednesday at 8:59 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, for a hit-and-run report. The suspect was unknown at the time of the report.


 

On Wednesday night just after 10 p.m., Sedalia Police checked on a subject at 5th and Marvin, which originated from a vehicle check in the 600 block of Hancock. 28-year-old Joshua Andrew Winkler was wanted on a Saline County warrant for obstructing a court order, with a $2500 cash-only bond. Winkler was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked.


 

On Wednesday at 10:53 p.m. Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 3rd and Missouri on a vehicle with a license plate light out. Both the driver and passenger were found to be in possession of contraband. The contraband was seized and was transported to the SPD to be destroyed.


 

On Wednesday at 11:31 a.m., Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of E. 9th for a burglary report. The victim said that on Thursday, Aug. 26, someone entered her home, stole Ambien pills, stole lawn decorations and damaged other decorations.


 

On Wednesday, Sedalia Police took a report of a missing juvenile in the lobby. Foul play is not suspected and the juvenile was entered as missing.


 

On Wednesday at 12:12 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 205 Thompson Blvd., for a female with a warrant. 29-year-old Julinda Inez Hicks of La Monte, was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Wednesday at 7:03 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Ingram. A computer check revealed that the driver, 54-year-old Kim L. Staten of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for forgery. Staten was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she booked and released on her own recognizance.


 

On Wednesday at 10:43 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near 3101 W. Broadway for improper registration. A computer check revealed that 40-year-old Heather Marie Reed of Warsaw did not have a valid license. She was arrested and she admitted to having drug paraphernalia in her vehicle. A subsequent search located drug paraphernalia, marijuana, methamphetamine, and items used for the distribution of meth. Reed was transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges with the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.
