Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak with Kimberly T. Hagen. Hagen wished to report her juvenile son had run away from home in the 1200 block of Deseret Drive. Hagen stated that some time overnight, her son snuck out of the house and did not come home. Officers gathered the information to start the report. Later that morning, Officers were informed by the Smith Cotton High School resource staff that the juvenile had arrived at school. Officers contacted Hagen, and she went to make contact with her son.


 

Sedalia Police stopped an SUV in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue late Monday night. The passenger side headlight was out, and the vehicle was failing to maintain its lane several times. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Mariia Tikhonova, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) and later released to a sober driver.

Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Hospital Monday night in response to a report of a past stabbing that had occurred in the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue. Officers gathered information from David Ray Pinion Austin and documented what occurred. There was no suspect information given.


 

Monday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car on northbound North Ohio Avenue approaching North Missouri Avenue. The vehicle was failing to maintain its lane. The driver provided a false name, but was later identified. Biana N. Herrera, 31, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest on charges of felony Driving Without a Valid License, Identity Theft, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Herrera was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had failed to register. The vehicle was stopped Monday night in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue. The driver admitted to having drugs in the vehicle, and produced them to Officers. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle, but nothing further was found. The drugs were confiscated for destruction. No charges are being requested at this time.


 

Monday morning, Officers performed a traffic stop on a gray Lincoln Navigator with improper registration. The vehicle was south bound on South Limit Avenue, and the stop took place at the Phillips 66, 1320 South Limit Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver and checked their information with Dispatch, confirming their driving privileges to be revoked. Kaylea M. Markell, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the evening of September 23rd, Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of South Stewart Avenue for a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile's information has been entered as missing.


 

Sedalia Police began investigating allegations of physical abuse of a child Monday morning in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street. The investigation is ongoing.
