Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of South Sneed Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed a fight had occurred, but a primary physical aggressor could not be determined.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West 7th Street Thursday morning in reference to a theft. Kennetha Haulcy reported that her son's live in friend had stolen approximately $700 in change, a Playstation 4, a Playstation 2, and 5 Playstation 4 controllers the previous day. The victims, Demetrius Haulcy and Jacob Haulcy, are willing to cooperate with prosecution.


 

Thursday afternoon, members of the Pettis County Ambulance District and the Sedalia Fire Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Buckner Court for a medical call. A subject was transported by ambulance, but passed away before reaching a hospital, despite multiple life saving efforts.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of a hit and run accident Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Melissa R. May, who stated that while she was at work, someone's vehicle struck the passenger side of her vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the intersection of East 16th Street and South Brown Avenue Thursday morning. Delinda M. Beneke, an individual involved in the accident, reported the driver of the other vehicle involved failed to stop and identify herself. An accident report has been completed.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the area of East Pettis Street and North Mill Avenue in reference to a domestic assault. Officers spoke with the reporting party in the 300 block of Buckner Court. He stated his girlfriend was following him in a van as he was walking down the sidewalk. As she was following him, she threw a folder out of the window, striking him in the head with it. Kendra Chase, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree and Driving While Suspended. Chase was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold. The next evening, Officers were called back to the same address for a dispute regarding who legally resided in a unit. A general information report was completed.


 

Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of South Stewart Avenue in reference to an out of control juvenile. A juvenile referral was made at the request of the parents.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle traveling north on South Lamine Avenue Wednesday night. Officers saw the vehicle leave the left side of the roadway, strike a “no parking” sign, then drive off. A traffic stop was later conducted at East 11th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. Investigation revealed that the driver, 44-year-old Holly B. Douglas of Sedalia, was intoxicated. Douglas was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was then transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center where a blood draw was conducted. Douglas was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Douglas was placed on a 24-hour hold.
