On Tuesday evening, Oct. 13, Sedalia Police to the 600 block of South Moniteau on a disturbance.

Opon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party and the suspect.

It was determined the victim was living with his mother at the residence. The victim stated he was assaulted by his mother. The victim did have scratches on his neck and arms, according to the report.

47-year-old Anita Marie Burke, of Sedalia, was taken into custody for 3rd degree Domestic Assault.

While Burke was being taken into custody, she began to pull away from arresting officers. Burke continued to resist and she was placed in a wrap.

Burke was then transported to the Pettis County Jail. Burke was held on charges of 3rd degree Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.
