Sedalia Police responded to the Dollar General Store, 713 East Broadway Boulevard Thursday evening for a report of a disturbance in progress.

When Officers arrived, a female suspect was causing a disturbance, and was refusing to leave.

After attempting to talk with the suspect and management of the Dollar General store, it was determined the store wanted her trespassed from the property. When confronted, the suspect got into her car and refused to identify herself to Officers.

The suspect was asked multiple times to identify herself before she attempted to start her vehicle to leave, after being told she was not free to leave. Officers went hands-on with the suspect and placed her under arrest.

Candice N. Johnson, 38, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for 1st Degree Peace Disturbance and Resisting Arrest. Johnson was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending charges, with bond undetermined.
