Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Engineer at 1:50 a.m. Monday on a vehicle for careless and imprudent driving.

An investigation revealed that Carmen Talavera-Sebastian of Sedalia had allowed her 13-year-old daughter to drive the car, because Talavera-Sebastian was intoxicated.

Talavera-Sebastian, a passenger, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her one-year-old and eight-year-old were also in the car.

Arrangements were made to transport the children home.
