State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce is offering an online preparation course for the Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification exam from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

The course will be delivered virtually 1-4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from March 29 through April 28 for a total of 10 sessions.

Anyone interested in pursuing CQT certification should take this course. Enrollment deadline is March 9. If class is full, participants may be placed on a waiting list.

Certification as a Quality Technician from ASQ is considered to be a mark of excellence in many industries, boosts productivity and profits, and helps in career advancement. A quality technician analyzes and solves problems using quality principles, data, tools, audits and statistical methods for process control that are covered in the CQT training. Douglas C. Wood, CMQ/CQE, CSSBB, is the instructor.

Following course completion, participants are responsible for applying to take the ASQ Certified Quality Technician exam on their own. Exam fees are not included in the cost of the course, which is $2,295 per person. The cost of this training is eligible to be covered by the State Fair Training Consortium
