Six Injured in Pettis County Crash
Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred late Saturday night in Pettis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2003 Ford Mustang, driven by 19-year-old Chantz D. Wheeler of Sedalia, attempted to cross US 65 and Trickum Road sometime after 11 p.m., and traveled into the path of a southbound 2005 Buick LeSabre, driven by 54-year-old Kennith C. Howery of Windsor.
The LeSabre struck the left rear of the Mustang. Both vehicles ended up in the median.
Wheeler and Howery suffered minor injuries, and were treated on scene. Both were wearing their seat belt, according to the report.
Four passengers in the Mustang suffered serious injuries, including 19-year-old Alana D. Fletcher, two 17-year-old juveniles from Knob Noster and Otterville, and one 16-year-old male from Syracuse.
Three were transported to University Medical Center in Columbia by PCAD. The Knob Noster female was flown to MU by Life Flight.
Both vehicles were totaled. (Towed by Don's Truck Towing)
