Hawkins, the daughter of Keith and Na’Keesha Hawkins, is a four-time letter winner in track and was a member of S-C’s state champion 4x100 meter relay team in 2016. She helped the Lady Tigers win two West Central Conference team championships, and over her career earned All-Conference honors 10 times, All-District three times and All-State once. She is a member of two school record relay teams (4x100, 4x200).

S-C Track Head Coach Brad Hagedorn said, “Nia has had an amazing and successful career here at Smith-Cotton. Her accomplishments will go down in the laurels of Smith-Cotton Track. I expect nothing but continued success during her collegiate career.”
