We always like to hear stories of area students excelling. This is one student that stands out so much that she received a basketball scholarship to Wesminster College in Fulton, Missouri to help continue her secondary education.

Madison excelled this past year not only in the classroom (Valedictorian of her class) but also on the basketball court. She was named to the All-Conference and All-District Teams along with being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Otterville Classic.

During the 2018-2019 season, Madison played point guard for the Smithton Lady Tigers averaging 15 points per game. The Tigers played into the second round of the Class 2, District 14 tournament, losing to the Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds, 51-20. The Lady Tigers ended their season at 19-8.
