Snow in the Forecast For Halloween?

As we look forward to next week, some forecasts are showing a chance of some snow before we hit the end of October. We'll just have to wait and see.

Some light rain showers will be possible this morning, generally along and south of Interstate 70. These showers will gradually dissipate with time and skies will clear from west to east through early afternoon. Rain showers will return Saturday mainly east of Interstate 35. Dry weather moves in Sunday before the next round of rain arrives Monday. Daytime temperatures will hover in the low to mid 50s with overnight lows in the low to mid 30s...which is about 10 degrees below normal for late October.

Here's the forecast for the Sedalia/Warrensburg area according to the National Weather Service:

A chance of showers, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Northeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

A slight chance of showers after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Showers, mainly after 7am. High near 52. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
