SFCC (2-1) fell 3-2 to Southeast Community College in their home opener on Saturday, Aug. 28.

The Roadrunners opened the scoring with a goal with just over 41 minutes remaining in the opening half from Ntene off an assist from freshman midfielder Zakariya Abdi.

Southeast would score the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead into halftime. SFCC battled back to make the score 3-2 off a goal from Zubia.

SFCC battled but could not find the equalizer.

Morrison got the start in goal for SFCC and made one save. Sophomore goalkeeper Nicolas Olmos came in with about 12 minutes remaining in the first half and made one save.

"Our team played well," said Beltran. "At the end of the day, our team needs to understand that we need to put the other team away when we have the opportunity. We had an opportunity early in the first half to go up by a couple of goals and didn't take advantage of it."
