According to a Facebook post this morning on the Sedalia School District 200 page, over the past 24 hours, the district was notified of a social media threat regarding a weapon and Smith-Cotton Junior High School.

“Through a diligent and thorough investigation by district administrators, School Resource Officer Deputy Todd Asbury, the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and the Sedalia Police Department, it was determined that the threat was not credible

“We want to assure our entire Sedalia 200 community that the health and safety of our students and staff members is our utmost priority each day,” the Facebook post concluded.
