If you have a tub of Nestle Toll House Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in your fridge or freezer you'll want to check it before you eat it.

Nestle decided to recall three batches of the product that were produced between August 1 - August 3, 2022, and distributed to retailers nationwide. Nestle USA's press release says the recall of the tubs of Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is because of the potential presence of a soft plastic film in the dough that makes it not good eats.

I added the part about the soft plastic film making it not good eats, Nestle didn't say that. That's all me.

They did go on to say no illnesses or injuries have been reported and they took the action after a small number of consumers altered them to the problem.

The batch codes of the Nestle Toll House Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Doug are as follows, 22135554RR, 22145554RR, and 22155554RR. Additionally, the corresponding best-by dates are 1/28/2023, 1/29/2023, and 1/30,/2023.

If you have the recalled product you probably shouldn't eat it. As I mentioned before it's not going to be good eats. They say you should take it back to the retailer where you purchased it for a refund or a replacement that will be good eats. (Ok, I've beat that lame joke to death.)

If you need any more support consumers can call Nestle USA at (800) 681-1678 Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
