Suspended Driver Arrested After Traffic Stop On Car With No Taillights

On Dec. 30, Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop at West Main Street and Industrial Road on a vehicle driving without taillights.

The officer made contact with the driver and occupant of the vehicle.

The driver provided a false identity. The real identity of the driver was discovered, and their driving privileges were suspended.

Marco A. Velez, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Identity Theft. Velez was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
