There are lots of places to go for fast food, and all of the chains seems to be doing different things to bring in customers. I was having this conversation with our market manager Craig today.  People have short attention spans, and are always looking for a new item.  Since I seem to be the resident foodie in the building so this caught my eye.

Now I am a fan of Taco Bell.  I do not eat it every day, but once in a while, it hits the spot, it is usually not too expensive, and I get a fair amount of food. So I will probably try these new items.

One of the best things Taco Bell did, was team with Doritos and make a taco shell.  Genius!  There is the Nacho Cheese flavor and Cool Ranch flavor. They started 10 years ago, so I suppose as an anniversary, you will now be able to try the Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos.  It comes loaded with fillings like seasoned beef, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.

The 2nd addition to the menu:  The Cantina Crispy Chicken Tacos. It’s a soft tortilla filled with crispy chicken marinated in jalapeño buttermilk then rolled in a crispy tortilla chip coating, then topped with lettuce, cheddar cheese and diced tomatoes. Yes, I will be trying these.

Item number 3:  the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada. This is also served on a warm flour tortilla and filled with crispy chicken, but this one comes grilled and wrapped up to go. But while the other two new menu items are available nationally, the tortada is only on a test run in Sacramento, California, for now.

Now if they can bring back the Mexican Pizza, which seems to have been one of the most popular items that is missing from the menu, then a lot of consumers will be happy.  Let us know if your local Taco Bell will be carrying the new items.
