As limey wizard Newt Scamander continues to traipse about America’s magical underground at the cinema with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, another enchanted British import prepares to cross the Atlantic. Just because mega-selling novels have long since ended, the Harry Potter business hasn’t stopped booming, and its latest gold mine is the stage show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The production has routinely sold out showings at the Palace Theatre in London’s storied West End, and the producers are now gearing up to bring the play stateside in the hopes that their fabulous success will follow them to the Great White Way.

'Broadway Loves Britney' celebrated the discography of Britney Spears on November 16 with performances by a collection of musical stars.

It was Lin-Manuel Miranda himself who pointed out that the first Drunk History had already chronicled Alexander Hamilton’s rivalry with Aaron Burr, before signing on to Season 4's post-Broadway recreation. Now, Arrested Development alum Alia Shawkat and star Aubrey Plaza have landed the new Hamilton roles, along with other details of the November bow.

Around 4:30pm a call came into the Sedalia Police Station reporting an accident at Broadway and Grand. It ended up blocking the Westbound lanes for around 45 minutes. There were minor injuries reported.

It is with great sadness that we bring you the news that Elaine Stritch, the iconic actress of Broadway, film and television has passed away at the age of 89. Stritch, who was nominated for many Tony and Emmy awards and won three of the latter, was known best in recent years for her role as Colleen Donaghy, mother of Jack, on '30 Rock.'

A few weeks ago we were over the moon to learn that Jerry Seinfeld and his titular sitcom's creator Larry David would reteam for a "huge" new project in the near future that neither could talk about, though it seems the cat's out of the bag now. Sting's latest project, the stage musical 'The Last Ship,' will premiere on Broadway in 2014.
