Today (Aug. 29), emergency personnel in Sedalia helped lay to rest one of their own. Kenny M. Stone passed away in the line of duty on Aug. 23, 2013. Kenny served our community as a paramedic. Community Members Pay Tribute to Librarian Lynn Phillips During Funeral Procession [PHOTOS]
The funeral for Lynn Phillips was held at the Celebration Center in Sedalia this morning (May 31).  Former students, parents and community members gathered along the east side of Highway 65 to honor the Skyline librarian by holding up children’s books as the procession passed.  The tribute was organized by the Sedalia School District.

The Sedalia School District plans to have a tribute to their librarian, Lynn Phillips, who lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, May 26. They are asking students, past and present and anyone else who would like to line the east side of Highway 65 holding a children’s book as the processional passes on Thursday, May 31. They ask that you be in place by 11:15 a.m.
