The Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival is coming up in Sept. 20-22. It's going to be a huge event with lots of music and food down in Columbia at Stephens Lake Park. They're going to have all sorts of huge performances from names you know including The Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Steve Earle, Mavis Staples, Johnny Winter, Bela Fleck, Samantha Fish and more.

The Sedalia Park Board met in its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Thursday night (Sept. 5). One of the items brought to the floor and approved by the board gives Sedalia Parks and Recreations Director Mark Hewett the authority to seek bids for a construction manager and architect for Sedalia's new community center project.
