The road signs in Hell or High Water kept catching my eye. They’re like a Greek chorus, commenting on the action in the foreground of the film. During the opening sequence, the robbery of a small Texas bank, the camera pans across the front of a Goodyear Tire Shop, essentially mocking the two brothers carrying out the robbery. (Their mother has just died and they’ve turned to crime to make ends meet.) A few moments later they drive past a “Closing Down” billboard, and there are also signs advertising “Debt Relief,” “Pass With Care,” and “Fast Cash,” all tempting (or perhaps taunting) these two men as they engineer a crime wave in West Texas.

Jeff Bridges really, really, really wants to help you sleep. The 'Seventh Son' star recently popped up during the Super Bowl, touting, well, something during a somewhat strange and somewhat soothing commercial spot. Turns out, Bridges is actually selling what it looks like he's selling: sleep. Wait, what?

The new ‘Seventh Son’ trailer is startling reminder that yes, this movie still exists and wasn’t something our addled brains cooked up while we were bed-ridden and battling a fever. Someone actually shot a movie where the great Jeff Bridges, complete with his trademark Rooster Cogburn mumble, plays a witch-hunting, monster-slaying magical warrior. And yes, you do remember correctly: this thing was supposed to come out in 2013 and yes, it was delayed to 2015. The word you’re looking for there is “Yikes.”

Remember that Jeff Bridges movie 'Seventh Son'? It was supposed to hit theaters this year, and we even got a Comic-Con 2013 panel from the film, but Legendary and Universal pushed it to 2015. Now, a new 'Seventh Son' trailer has been released to pretty much remind us all that it's still happening ... and that it kinda looks like what 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' would've looked like without that R rating.

Today brings a new, extended trailer for 'The Giver,' the upcoming film based on the classic, award-winning young-adult novel of the same name by Lowis Lowry, and featuring Meryl Streep as a strict authoritarian figure in a dystopian future (because these are the only kinds of futures young adults have).

Jeff Bridges and his aptly named band the Abiders will be the headlining act at this year's Lebowski Fest in Los Anegels on April 25.
