Last night, (Oct. 1) the Sacred Heart faculty and Smith-Cotton faulty went head to head at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the campus of State Fair Community College. Fans from both sides packed the stands and helped raise money for United Way. Four State Fair Community College Roadrunners have earned All-Conference recognition for the 2012-1013 basketball season in voting by Midwest Community College Athletic Conference coaches.

After Tuesday night's unbelievable win for the SFCC Lady Roadrunners, their season will continue Friday in the region semi-finals.  The Roadrunners won Tuesday on a last second three-pointer from Kaci Cason over Mineral Area at Mineral, so now both teams are in the semi's on Friday.

While the rest of us are trying to dig out from our most recent storm, the SFCC Roadrunners are gearing up for the Region 16 Playoffs.  The ladies have a first round game at Mineral Area tonight.  They left on Monday afternoon to get ahead of the storm, and if they win they will go to the semi-finals in Poplar Bluff.  Instead of trying to come home in the storm, they will more than likely just sta

It's already been a great year for the State Fair Community College Roadrunners, and tonight starts what could be a historical run for both the women and the men.

The basketball season is winding down and both of the SFCC teams are looking to make this a historical season.

If you are a SFCC fan, you know that Coach Kevin Thomas and his wife Taylor have been expecting twins.  Taylor was due in the middle of March, but the babies had different ideas and were born this Monday morning (Feb 4.) in Columbia, where Taylor had been on bed rest for awhile.

The State Fair Roadrunners men and women have huge Region 16 games tonight at home against the Mineral Area Cardinals.  Both Mineral Area ball clubs have spent time in the top 20.  Our Roadrunners need wins to keep pace in the Region 16 race.

State Fair Community College's outstanding point guard Kenny Cherry announced on Tuesday (Dec. 18) that he has verbally committed to Baylor University.  Kenny has been recruited by a number of schools since the beginning of the year, despite getting hurt in the second game of the season.
