Your summer trip to Shawshank is officially booked. Hulu confirms that Stephen King mashup drama Castle Rock will premiere in July, while a spooky new teaser highlights some old haunts and creepy goings-on.

We’ve been blessed with many fantastic collaborations over the years, but there’s still one that I’m dying to see: Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. The former has owned the rights to the latter’s fantasy-horror novel The Talisman for over three decades, and the highly-desirable (and super ambitious) Beard x King collab has almost come to fruition a few times — before ultimately hitting one roadblock or another. But according to Spielberg himself, his adaptation of The Talisman is still very much in the works.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but a new adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand may be moving forward. Reports indicate the years-delayed adaptation may have found a home at CBS All-Access under New Mutants director Josh Boone.

The Dark Tower has largely ceded the spotlight to other Stephen King projects on the horizon, but it seems the proposed TV tie-in may be moving forward. Reports suggest Amazon has landed the rights to develop a Dark Tower series among its burgeoning slate.

If you thought the first trailer for Hulu’s J.J. Abrams-produced Castle Rock anthology was an overload of Stephen King references, the latest will really lock you up. Return to Shawshank and meet the all-star cast in a new Super Bowl spot for Castle Rock’s summer premiere.

If anyone can turn Stephen King’s disappointing sequel to The Shining into a decent movie, it’s the director of last year’s surprisingly great Gerald’s Game.

IT is the biggest horror film of the year, and if you still haven’t seen Andy Muschietti’s surprisingly great adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel (doubtful, you’re smart people), then perhaps the opening scene from the movie will persuade you…or maybe it’ll just reinforce your decision to stay the heck at home in your comfy, cozy, sewer clown-free environment.
