Here's a look at all the local events that will be happening especially for Halloween.

I found a pretty interesting article about a weird Thanksgiving tradition from the past.  About 100 years ago, kids didn't go trick-or-treating on Halloween, they did it on Thanksgiving. It was called "Thanksgiving Masking."  Kids would dress up as beggars and hobos, wear masks and go door-to-door for candy and pennies. Trick-or-treating may be on the damp side tonight (Oct. 31) with the rain we've received, but there are plenty of Halloween activities still happening. Here is a look at some of the activities planned in the area for kids to do in addition to door-to-door trick-or-treating.

As a kid, I remember rushing home to dump all the candy out of my Halloween bag onto the floor to examine everything that I got. Some candy is better than others, and there is nothing better than receiving that full size Snickers bar, but we usually ended up with a big batch of some pretty nasty candy.
