Vacation

I've been gone a few days.  I took a little vacation for some R&R, and it felt good.  However, when you get back to work, there is always a mound of work waiting for you.  Coming back this time was even worse than normal.  Let me explain:

Labor Day weekend is upon us, a holiday that many mark as the end of summer.  I have done many different things for Labor Day weekend in the past, from traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks, to Kansas City, Columbia and even just around town.

Thanks to technology, a good chunk of the population can do their jobs at home if need be. Likewise, when most workers go on vacation they are just a smartphone away from being back at the office — and thus not really on vacation.

At last, summer vacation time is here. If you haven’t started planning, it’s not too late. There’s a lot of summer ahead of us, and you can still find time to get out of town with your family before school starts back up again. Just make sure you you don’t fall into a few common traps and you’ll have the best vacation ever.
