Interested adults are invited to participate in a one-on-one session with a workforce expert at the University of Central Missouri’s Professional Training and Education Open House, scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. June 29 in a friendly Zoom environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their career goals while learning timely information about both training and scholarship opportunities. UCM hosts monthly open house events on the last Tuesday of each month to help adult learners connect to recognized training programs.

Thanks to a partnership with the Full Employment Council, qualifying individuals are able to receive debt-free tuition assistance. Additional debt-free scholarship opportunities are available to qualifying individuals through a community initiative through Truman Heartland Community Foundation.

UCM offers certificate programs in high-demand areas such as

healthcare, information technology, business, manufacturing and logistics/warehouse. Some training programs can be completed in as little as six weeks with several programs including remote worker certification preparation. More information and a link to the RSVP form is available at this webpage.
