The Kansas City Chiefs will open training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joesph on Wednesday, July 28 and the public is invited.

The team announced their training camp plans on the Chiefs website on Thursday. All practices are scheduled to start at 9:15 AM CDT and admission is free for most practices, although Missouri Western State University will be charging a $5.00 admission fee for the practices on Friday, July 30; Saturday, July 31; and Sunday, August 8. The University will also be charging a $5.00 parking fee for most practices.

Practices on Wednesday, July 28, and Tuesday, August 10 will only be open to season ticket holders.

One thing that's different this year is fans must reserve their training camp tickets in advance through the Chiefs Kingdom Rewards Program. In an effort to give fans the best training camp experience the team will be limiting the number of tickets available for each program. Fans who aren't Chiefs Kingdom Rewards Program members can sign up for free before putting in their training camp ticket request.

Another thing that will be different with this year's training camp is autographs. Players won't be signing autographs this year because of the NFL's COVID-19 protocols. Frankly, I wouldn't expect many close fan-player interactions at training camp this season because of that.

Tickets for training camp will go on sale Wednesday, July 7. Fans can reserve up to four tickets for three different practice sessions. And fans will be charged the $5.00 admission to paid practices when they reserve tickets. All tickets will be mobile entry as well.

You can see the complete training camp schedule and get more information on the camp at the Chiefs website.  Once again this season all Kansas City Chiefs Games will be aired on Awesome 92.3.
