The CPKC Holiday Train Is Coming To Missouri

Back before they merged, both Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern ran holiday trains around their network. Now, after the merger, the new CPKC will be running two-holiday trains. One will focus mostly on Canada, while one will be plying the rails through CPKC's network in the United States. So when will you be able to see the CPKC Holiday Train in Missouri?

The 2023 Holiday Train gets underway today and will run through December 19, 2023, raising money, food, and awareness for the important work that food banks do in their communities. Additionally, the holiday train will stop at various towns along its route and spread holiday cheer by making donations to local food banks, while holding free concerts from the holiday train's brightly decorated stage.

There will be three opportunities to see the CPKC Holiday Train in Missouri this year. Monday, November 27, 2023, the train will arrive in Chillicothe at 2:45 PM CST, on the CPKC tracks adjacent to the Lowes parking lot on U.S. Business 36 and Harvester road. The train will call at Chillicothe until 3:30 PM CDT.

The train will arrive at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri at 6:45 PM CDT on Monday, November 27, 2023, and will be at Union Station until 7:30 PM CDT.

At 11:15 AM CDT on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the train will arrive in Pittsburg, Kansas along North Michigan Avenue between 7th and 10th Streets. It will depart Pittsburg at Noon. The CPKC Holiday Train's final Missouri stop is in Joplin at 1:15 PM CST. There the train will be at the Joplin Union Depot on Main Street until 2:00 PM CST.

Visiting the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train at stops along its route is free and open to the public. In Kansas City, the train will park in the Haverty Family Yards at Union Station.

Performing along the route is Kiesza, a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her dynamic music career. As well as the Australian Country Music duo Seaforth.
