A Christmas Story the Musical opens November 29 at the historic Lona Theatre operated by the Liberty Center Association for the Arts.

"A Christmas Story" is one of those movies that I think just about everyone has seen.  It's become a modern classic!  I know that throughout the years, my family and I have definitely repeated lines and jokes from the movie.  If you ate too fast, you were "Mommy's Little Piggy", and if you were doing something dangerous, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out"! And now, the Liberty Center is bringing this beloved story to our local stage!  The story is set in Indiana and tells the tale of Ralphie, a young boy whose only wish for Christmas is a Red Ryder BB Gun. The show stars Chris Clark as “the old man”, Marshall Noble as Ralphie, and Tom Eschbacher as Jean Shepard. I got to talk with Terri Ballard of the Liberty Center about the show and how you can get tickets!

Local celebrities will be making a cameo appearance in the opening scene.  Celebrities include:   Mayor Galliher, Ron Wineinger, John Dawes, Eric Yazell, Beau Mathews, Tim Carr, and for some reason, me.  Tickets are now available for this classic holiday show at the Center located at 111 West 5th Street in Sedalia.  Show dates are November 29 and 30 and December 4-6, 2014. Tickets are $12 each. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at the office at 111 West 5th Street, Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The box office will be open Friday evening, November 21 from 6-8 p.m. For more information call 660-827-3228 or e-mail at info@lcaasedalia.com.
