Scattered light showers will be possible this morning. However, by this afternoon, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop. A few of these storms may be strong with perhaps a isolated severe storm possible. The main threats will be for gusty to strong winds between 40 to 60 mph as well as hail from pea up to quarter size. These storms will continue into the evening before diminishing after sunset.

For Sedalia and the surrounding area, a 60% chance of rain today with the high around 72. The overnight low could drop into the upper 40's in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service:

A few stronger storms are possible during the evening hours today, with potential
hazards being hail up to one inch and winds up to 60 mph.

Wednesday through Monday

Showers and storms will move southeast out of the area during the PM
hours Wednesday. On and off storms are then possible starting Friday
through the weekend. No severe weather is expected at this time.
