On Saturday at 1:52 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of North Grand for a trespassing in progress.

The officer made contact with the caller, who said that the suspect had taken off running down an alley and that he was wanted on an active warrant.

The officer pursued the suspect on foot for four blocks. The suspect then hid under a log from the officer, until the officer gave him commands to come out.

Dispatch confirmed that the suspect, 44-year-old Travis L. Edgar of Sedalia, was wanted on an active felony no-bond probation and parole warrant. Edgar was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

A state charge of resisting arrest was later submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.
