We know there are going to be a ton of Trick or Treat events this year, and probably a few Trunk or Treat events, too. But a......Trot or Treat? That's a little different.

And not all in a bad way!  In a way that supports local animals in need, and sounds like a ton of fun.  I'll give you the run down, the jist, the basics, you know.

It's going to be held at Whiskey Ridge Rescue in Green Ridge. Basically they have a little spot where they tend to and care for injured, sick, or older horses. They have adoptable dogs and cats too, but the horses are the stars of the show! It's on Saturday, October 22nd, and here's the break down of the stuff they'll be doing.

Trot or treat down the barn aisle. Meet the herd of rescued horses. Say hi to our adoptable dogs & cats.
Costume contest. Food, goodies & concessions.
Craft, food, gift and specialty item vendors.
Petting zoo. Pony rides. Pumpkin painting.
Bounce house.

They do charge an admission for the kids, but it's only $5.  It's for the ages of 3-17, and it basically pays for their treats and candy and whatnot. Adults get in free, as do the really little ones, ages 2 & under.  And the profits they make? It all goes right back to the animals they're helping out there.  It goes to feed the horses, dogs and cats in need.

Now, where in Green Ridge is it? If you wanna put it in your GPS, it's 17228 White Road
Green Ridge, MO 65332.  But they note they'll have signs up, so you can find it pretty easy.  So again, it'll be October 22, from noon to five, so you can pencil that in your calendar now and take the kiddos!

Rescuingly yours,
Behka
