Late this morning, May 24, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and Pettis County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Motel 6, 3402 W. Broadway Blvd., Room 306, reference drug distribution.

During execution, approximately one gram of black tar heroin was seized along with sales and use paraphernalia. In addition, 44 magnum ammunition was seized as being in possession of a person prohibited.

“While this may seem like a small amount of heroin, it is more than enough for several potentially lethal doses. Evidence suggests exponentially more heroin was present prior to execution,” according to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders.

Two individuals are in custody, and there will be more to follow on their identification. And investigation is currently ongoing.

While on scene, in a separate room, an individual was reported to have overdosed on an unknown substance.

Deputies responded to the room and made contact with the tenant. While clearly under the influence of a controlled substance, the individual denied medical assistance.

Drug paraphernalia were seized to be destroyed per the Good Samaritan Law, Anders said.
